Before I go off on this company's product for measuring my weight and other factors, let me preface this by saying that I'm larger than your average bear.
At seven feet in height, I have been weighing in excess of 400 pounds off and on for several years.
Follow my weight loss progress here.
Again, it shows the wrong height reading and thus the wrong BMI reading as well.
According to the BioMeasure scale, my optimum BMI should be around 20 but according to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute website (click here), my optimum BMI should be around 25.9.
What is BMI?
Body mass index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to adult men and women.
So, aside from the obvious size issue of the BioMeasure scale and its inaccuracies to accurately estimate my body mass index based on inadequate information, it's still nice to be able to show people what happens when I go from 463 to 423 in 40 days on the plan I'm on.
